OBJECTIVES

  1. To collect spent culture medium from cumulus-oocyte-complexes, oocytes and embryo culture, and monitor hormonal secretions with special focus on member of the TGF-β family.
  2. To test if there is an association between the secretome and women age and developmental competence of the oocyte.
  3. Evaluate whether oocytes in the GV-stage in ICSI cycles poses a potential for MII transition during the first 18h culture period provided that the culture medium is enriched with exogenous hormones.
  4. To evaluate the chromosomal constitution of resulting embryos and blastocysts prior to clinical implementations.
